Palm Sunday Worship Service
Come join us as we celebrate the final week of the Lenten season and the gift of our growing spiritual community with a beautiful Palm Sunday worship service.
Good Friday Experience
Live Worship Meditation: Live worship music will be available in the sanctuary to create a peaceful space for prayer and reflection at 8:00am - 9:00am and 12:00pm - 1:00pm. Drop in at any time to spend a few quiet moments in worship and meditation as you reflect on the meaning of Good Friday.
Good Friday Worship: Join us for a candlelight Good Friday experience on Friday, April 3, starting at 7:00pm. Nursery care and classes for kids (PreK through Grade 4) will be available.
Easter Sunday
Two chances to celebrate the Good News of Easter! Join us on Sunday, April 5 at 9:00am or 10:30am. Nursery care and classes for kids (PreK through Grade 4) will be available.
The Communion Experience
All ages are invited to a welcoming, hands-on experience exploring communion—its meaning, its purpose, and the way it unites us as followers of Jesus. Through teaching, interactive discussions, and age-appropriate activities, individuals, couples, and families will learn about communion and how we celebrate it regularly together at The Community Church.
Kids Camp 2026

New Here Luncheon
Whether it’s your first visit to The Community Church or you’ve joined us a few times over the past months, you’ll find the New Here Luncheon informative and fun. Join us as we get together for a meal, share our stories, explore our faith, and build meaningful friendships on Sunday, March 8, right after the worship service.
Local Outreach Bed Build Event
We are coming together to serve our community in a hands-on and meaningful way! Saturday, March 7, 10:00am - 2:00pm, we’ll partner with The Care Center and Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for children, ages 3 - 17, in our local community who do not have a bed of their own.

Women’s Ministry: Soap-Making Workshop
Learn the basics of soap making while enjoying meaningful conversation and connection with other women. Together we’ll create beautiful, handmade soaps designed as Easter gifts, with the chance to customize your soaps using floral elements and a variety of fragrant oils—something lovely and personal to take home and share.
Ash Wednesday
This Wednesday, February 18 the sanctuary will be open all day for prayer and meditation as the season of Lent officially begins.
'Fat Sunday' Pancake Breakfast
Join us for 'Fat Sunday', February 15 at 11:00am, a playful nod to Fat Tuesday, as we kick off our Lenten sermon series by gathering around the table together.
After the worship service, head to the Fellowship Hall to enjoy all the best breakfast comfort foods, hearty, homemade favorites that bring joy, warmth, and community. It’s a chance to linger, laugh, and savor the goodness of being together before entering a season of reflection.
Yoga, Yap, + Yums: A Women’s Ministry Event
Join us on Saturday, February 7, from 9:00 to 11:30am for a refreshing morning designed just for women! We’ll begin with gentle yoga suitable for all levels, followed by delicious home-baked goodies and warm fellowship. Whether you’re looking to unwind, recharge, or simply connect with others, this is a wonderful opportunity to pause and be encouraged. Invite a friend and come as you are. December Dinner: A Women's Ministry Event
Join us for a cozy evening hosted in the home of one of our congregation members as we gather to celebrate the season with food, fellowship, and faith. Together we’ll enjoy a warm meal, share meaningful conversation, and set intentions for the new year ahead. This special night is a chance to pause in the busyness of December, connect with one another, and leave refreshed in spirit and community.

Christmas Tree Lighting
Save the date! Our annual Christmas Tree Lighting is back on Wednesday, December 3 at 6:30pm. Join us for a night of holiday fun with a hot chocolate bar, a Christmas selfie station, and kids crafts and story time plus live holiday-themed jazz music.
Friendsgiving Brunch
Our annual Friendsgiving Potluck Brunch is back! After Sunday Service on November 23, all are invited to Fellowship Hall to enjoy a delicious meal and even better company. All ages are welcomed to come as we celebrate the season of giving and thankfulness. RSVP today!
Care Bags Packing Party
This Sunday is special because our whole church family will be serving globally and locally. Some of us will serve at the border of the Dominican Republic and Haiti on the Vision Trip. Others will serve here at home, partnering with The Care Center of New Jersey to assemble bags filled with personal care essentials for Dover Public School students in need.

Kneaded Together: A Women’s Ministry Bread Making Workshop
Join us for a hands-on breadmaking workshop that’s about more than just baking—it’s about nourishment, patience, fellowship, and community. Together we’ll mill fresh grain, mix and knead dough, and shape loaves to share. While the bread rises, enjoy fellowship along with optional activities like churning butter or making seasonal jam. We’ll close by gathering around the table to taste our creations with simple spreads and reflect on the gift of daily bread—both physical and spiritual.

The Communion Experience
A welcoming, engaging intergenerational experience for individuals, couples, and families to learn about communion—what it means, why it matters, and how it unites us as followers of Jesus. The event will include teaching, interactive discussions, and age-appropriate discussions.
Men's Retreat
Join us for a day of worship, connection, and encouragement. Featuring two guest Christian speakers, this gathering is designed to help you walk more intentionally as a leader, father, friend, and follower of Christ. Whether you're new to church or have been walking with God for years, this gathering is for every man who desires to grow deeper in faith and community. Breakfast and lunch included. Women’s Retreat
All women are invited to a one-day retreat at The Community Church! Come and enjoy a refreshing day to relax, recharge, and deepen your connection with God. We’ll share breakfast and lunch together, spend time growing in faith, and have some fun—including line dancing! Blessing of the Backpacks
We kick off the fall season on Sunday, September 7, when there will be a Blessing of the Backpacks. Children are invited to bring their backpacks to church to receive a blessing from Family Ministry Pastor Lisa. Church at the Chapel
Join us for an evening of worship at St. Hubert’s Chapel on Lake Kinnelon in Smoke Rise. Boats will depart the dock for the Chapel beginning at 5:15 pm. Worship begins at 6:00 pm. There will be a wine and cheese reception on the beach afterwards.

Church on the Beach Baptism Sunday
On Sunday, June 29 we are having Church on the Beach! We’ll start the morning at 8:30 with breakfast on the Smoke Rise Beach. Then we will hold our worship service there at 9:30. The service will conclude with summer baptisms. Be sure to put Church on the Beach on your calendars and get ready for an extraordinary summer worship service.
